White Spruce is typically a creamy white, with a hint of yellow softwood type. It has a fine, even texture, and consistently straight grain and is rated as being slightly resistant to non-resistant to decay.
It has no characteristic odor. It is very easy to handle, strong and elastic enough. White Spruce with thinner annual rings is harder, shrinks less and withstands humidity variation well.
